U Card Office to Stop Accepting Cash June 1
For campus: Twin Cities
Beginning on June 1, 2026, the U Card Office will stop accepting cash as a form of payment. The goal of this program change is to remove vulnerabilities and create efficiencies within the University’s processes.
The U Card Office will continue to accept credit/debit cards, Gopher GOLD, and student account (replacement cards only) all with no transaction fees. Cash is still accepted at Cash-to-GOLD stations throughout the Twin Cities campus.
