Successful U Card System Upgrade
For campus: Crookston | Duluth | Morris | Rochester | Twin Cities

On April 28, the U Card Office in partnership with University Services IT, the University Services Project Management Office and other campus partners successfully transitioned our production system.

The project was a huge leap forward for our infrastructure and retired the legacy system which had been in place since 1995. While the old system served the University well for three decades, the new platform provides the speed, security and reliability required to support thousands of students, faculty and staff across the University of Minnesota.

Need a card? Our system is live and ready to go.

Original announcement

On April 28, the U Card Office will be transitioning our production systems to a modern platform, replacing a legacy system that has been in place since 1995.

While we are incredibly excited to bring you a faster, more reliable U Card experience, the changeover requires a temporary pause in some services.
